Site: SALEM Emergency Class: Not Applicable An Atlantic sturgeon was removed rom the Salem Unit 2 Circulating Water System intake trash racks. The sturgeon was alive upon retrieval and released back to the river at 1130 EST. A report was made by Environmental Licensing to the National Marine Fisheries at 0929 and the NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife at 0931 concerning the sturgeon.

Nuclear Environmental Affairs (Salem) has made a determination that this event warrants a 4 hour4.62963e-5 days <br />0.00111 hours <br />6.613757e-6 weeks <br />1.522e-6 months <br /> report to the NRC under RAL 11.8.2.a.

The licensee notified the NRC Resident Inspector.

Notified the R1DO (Janda) and Endangered Species Group via email.
