Re:
Review of Environmental Report for Susquehanna Steam Steam Electric Station Units 1
& 2 (OL Stage)
[50-387 and 388], Luzerne County, Pennsylvania The above referenced report prepared by the Pennsylvania Power and Light Company has been reviewed in the Eastern Field Operations Center.
The project consists of the main station structures for Units 1 and 2, and related facilities.
The impact of the transmission lines and related facilities are not discussed in this report.
The project commits about 120 acres of the total 1,075-acre site to the station and its facilities.
The geology of the project area is briefly discussed.
Our records indi-cate no mineral operations in the project area.
The project should have no adverse impact on mineral resources.
Power generated at the station may benefit the mineral industry of the general area.
The report is acceptable as written with regard to mineral resources.
Sincerely yours, CW@,g Ar Robert D. Thomson, Chief Eastern Field Operations Center L J LLI.-'.
