~goal A Final Environmental Impact Statement relating to an application for a loan guarantee commitment from Allegheny Electric Cooperative, Inc.,
212 Locust Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17101, is enclosed.
This application for a loan guarantee commitment includes financing for a ten percent ownership interest by Allegheny Electric Cooperative, Inc.,
in the SusguehaLLua Steam Electric Station, Units No.
1 and. No. 2, and for the financi-.g of 42.3 miles of 128 miles of 500 kV transmission facilities alsc associated, with the nuclear station.
These facilities are presently under construction by Pennsylvania Power 4 Light Company.
Final action m~- be taken with respect to this matter after thirty (30) days.
A copy of this Final Environmental Impact Statement is available to the public at the office of the above mentioned borrower.
r Any loan guarantee commitment which may be made pursuant to this matter will be subject to, and release of funds thereunder contingent upon, REA's reaching satisfactory conclusions with respect to its environmental
- effects, and. compliance with the Nationa1 Environmental Policy Act of 1969.
