5 We have two items to come before us this morning.

6 Before I ask the Secretary to lead us through the items for 7 affirmation, do any of my colleagues have any opening 8 comments they would like to make?

9 COMMISSIONER MERRIFIELD: No.

10 CHAIRMAN JACKSON: If not, Madam Secretary, please 11 proceed.

12 MS. VIETTI-COOK: The first item is on 13 Commonwealth Edison Company. The Commission is being asked 14 to act on a memorandum and order related to LBP-98-27 in 15 which the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board denied the 16 petition for intervention and hearing filed by Mr. Edwin 17 Dienethal.

18 The Commission has voted to approve the memorandum 19 and order which affirms the Licensing Board's decision in 20 LBP-98-27. Would you please affirm your votes?

21 COMMISSIONER MERRIFIELD: Aye.

22 COMMISSIONER DIAZ: Aye.

23 CHAIRMAN JACKSON: Aye.

24 COMMISSIONER McGAFFIGAN: Aye.

2 and Electric Corporation.

3 The Commission is being asked to act on a 4 memorandum and order which solicits views of the parties on 5 the question of whether the NRC should continue to conduct 6 any form of antitrust review in connection with license 7 transfer applications.

8 The Commission has voted to approve a memorandum 9 and order which solicits views of the parties with respect 10 to continued antitrust review in connection with the license 11 transfer applications.
