By letter dated September 28, 1993 Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) submitted a Request for License Amendment for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant (SHNPP).

The proposed amendment would revise Technical Specification 3/4.8.1, A.C. Sources, and associated Bases to be consistent with the new Standard Technical Specifications for Westinghouse Plants, NUREG-1431, Revision 0. Based on recent discussions with the NRC Staff, CP&L has made several changes to the previously submitted Technical Specification pages such that they are more consistent with the changes issued by the NRC in NUREG-1431.

Enclosure 1 provides new page change instructions for incorporating the proposed revisions to Technical Specification 3/4.8.1 and the associated Bases. provides the proposed Technical Specification pages.

To facilitate amendment

issuance, a complete set of af'fected pages are attached.

The 10 CFR 50.92 evaluation submitted as part of CP&L's September 28, 1993 submittal is unaf'fected by these changes.
