60 Day Follow-up Report for Event Notification 53046
Reference:

Event Notification 53046, submitted by URENCO USA, to Nuclear Regulatory Commission Operations Center, on October 31, 2017 On October 31, 2017, 24-hour event notification 53046 was submitted by Louisiana Energy Services, LLC dba URENCO USA (UUSA), to the NRC Operations Center in accordance with 10 CFR 70.74(a). The event occurred on October 30, 2017 and is detailed in Enclosure 1.
As required by 10 CFR 70 Appendix A (b )(2), UUSA is providing this letter which contains the 60 day written follow-up to the initial teport.
The 10 CFR 70. 7 4 and 10 CFR 70 Appendix A written follow-up reporting requirements are detailed in 10 CFR 70.50(c)(2). Event Notification 53046, Enclosure 1, and the written Follow-up,, provide responses to these requirements. Enclosure 3 provides the detail for the event's risk and safety significance.
Enclosures 2 and 3 contain proprietary information in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(a)(4).
UUSA requests that Enclosures 2 and 3 be withheld from public disclosure. Enclosure 4 Affidavit supports this request.
This event was found during the extent of condition investigation for an Apparent Cause Evaluation for a similar event. As required by the UUSA Corrective Action Program, this event was investigated and closed as part of the initial ACE.
