- Description of the action: The NRC will consider in the rulemaking process one issue raised in a petition for rulemaking submitted by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing and the Nondestructive Testing Management Association (the petitioners), and is denying one issue. The petitioners request that the NRC modify its regulations to authorize use of improved individual monitoring devices for industrial radiographic personnel. The enclosed Federal Register notice discusses in detail the reasons for the consideration and the denial.
