Dear Mr. Plunkett:

In your letter dated March 25, 1999, you described the intentions of Florida Power 8 Light Company (FPL) to submit a license renewal application for Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 by December 2000.

We are pleased that the progress on the Calvert Cliffs and Oconee license renewal applications has given FPL th'e confidence to accelerate your application submittal schedule.

As you requested, the NRC staff has ar'ranged for a public meeting with FPL representatives on April 14, 1999 in Rockville, Maryland, to discuss license renewal for Turkey Point, which will followa meeting with the Nuclear dneigy fnstitute License Renewal Task Force to discuss the development of a standard format for license renewal applications.

The staff is reviewing the five Westinghouse Owners's Group (WOG) aging management reports, with expected completion dates that should be suitable for FPL to reference those reports in the Turkey Point renewal application.

Please let me know ifyou have any suggestions for priority considerations for any specific WOG aging management report.
