REORGANIZATIONOF REGION II STAFF Dear Mr. Plunkett On January 17, 1999, Region II willimplement a staff reorganization as part of an agency-wide streamlining effort. The reorganization is necessary because of staffing reductions in our Fiscal Year 1999 budget.

The reductions willresult in the elimination of the Special Inspection Branch in the Division of Reactor Safety (DRS) and realignment of those functions and staff in the remaining DRS branches.
