Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection
conducted
by Mr. Walter G.
Rogers
and others
of this office on March 20-24,
1995.
The inspection
included
a review of
activities authorized for your Turkey Point facility.
At the conclusion of
the inspection,
the findings were discussed
with members of your staff
identified in the enclosed
inspection report.
Areas
examined during the inspection
are identified in the report.
Within
these
areas,
the inspection consisted
of selective
examinations of procedures
and representative
records,
interviews with personnel,
and observation of
activities in progress
associated
with the Service
Water System Operational
Performance
Assessment
conducted
by your staff.
The purpose of the inspection
was to determine
whether activities authorized
by the license
were conducted
safely
and in accordance
with NRC requirements.
Within the scope of the inspection, violations or deviations
were not
identified.
A future follow-up inspection will be performed after issuance
of your staff's Service Water System Operational
Performance
Assessment
report.
The follow-up inspection will focus
on your disposition/corrective
actions to the assessment
findings and independent
review of select
areas of
your service water/component
cooling water system.
In order to minimize the
regulatory
impact of this follow-up inspection,
we request that you provide
a copy of your final assessment
report along with any corrective action plans
or documents
when the report is issued.
In accordance
with 10
CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice,"
a copy of
this letter
and its enclosures will be placed in the
NRC Public Document
Room.
