SUBJECT:

GENERIC LETTER 93-04, "ROD CONTROL SYSTEM FAILURE AND WITHDRAWAL OF ROD CLUSTER CONTROL ASSEMBLIES" TURKEY POINT UNITS 3 AND 4 (TAC NOS.

H86873 AND H86874)

Dear Hr. Goldberg:

We have reviewed your responses dated August 4,

1993, December 28,
1993, and December 28, 1994, to the Generic Letter (GL) 93-04 and found them to be acceptable.

You stated that you would implement the current order timing modification and the new current order surveillance test recommended by the Westinghouse Owners'roup during the next refueling outage for each unit.

This surveillance will be performed every refueling outage.

1 Please inform us if your plans for implementing the modification and surveillance testing change.

This completes our actions on this item and TAC numbers H86873 and H86874 are closed.

Sincerely, (Original Signed By)
