MOTOR-OPERATED VALVE ISSUES WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON THE PROCESS FOR CLOSING OUT GENERIC LETTER 89-10 Gentlemen:
I am extending an invitation to Region II licensees to participate with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) and Region II representatives in a discussion of Generic Letter (GL) 89-10 motor-operated valve programs.
,.Special emphasis will be placed on the NRC's expectations for completion of GL 89-10 programs, and on our.intended closure process for that Generic Letter.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 8,
- 1994, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.', at the Region II office, 101 Marietta St., Atlanta, Georgia.
The meeting is open for public observation and will be attended by NRC Region II and NRR staff.
We request that you consider sending 2 to 3 members of your staff and management associated with the GL 89-10 program.
To make the meeting as productive as possible, please provide a preliminary list of questions/issues, and indicate who will represent you at the meeting by November 1,
1994.
Those questions and issues will form the bases for additional discussions.
An agenda for the meeting is attached for your information.
