SUMMARY

OF MEETING WITH FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY (FPL)

ON JUNE 25, 1991 REGARDING STATUS OF LICENSING ACTIONS AT TURKEY POINT, UNITS 3 AND 4 A meeting was held in Rockville, Maryland on'June'5, 1991 to discuss the status of licensing'ctions under NRC review.

FPL was represented by Dave Powell and Gabe Salamon and representing the NRC staff were Herbert Berkow and Rajender Aulu'ck., The NRC staff summarized the status of review of all license amendment requests currently with the NRC. It was noted that the review of all amendment requests required prior to entry into MODE 4 are'cheduled to be completed by August 31, 1991.

'I The NRC staff also provided clarification regarding the reporting requirements under 10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(vi). 'he staff's'nderstanding of this regulation is that the NRC must be notified of any occurrence at the Turkey Point plants for which notification to other go'ver'nment agencies, including state or local government

agencies, has or will be made.

The staff further stated that FPL, if it wishes, can request a written interpretation of this regulation from the staff.
