SUBJECT:

SUMMARY

OF AUGUST 30, 1990 MEETING WITH FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY A meeting was held with Florida Power and Light, the licensee for Turkey Point Units 3 and 4.

The licensee requested clarification of sections of the staff's Safety Evaluation on Florida Power and Light's proposed implement-ation of the Station Blackout Rule.

Specifically, the licensee wanted to know the staff's position on requiring the capability to cool the non-blacked out unit to cold shutdown conditions.

This question is still under consideration.

The licensee indicated they would document their concerns in a letter to the staff about the end of September, 1990.
