7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WITHDRAWAL OF PORTION OF APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENTS TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY DOCKET NOS. 50-250 AND 50-251 The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted the request of Florida Power and Light Company (the licensee) to withdraw a portion of an amendment application dated June 5, 1989, for the Turkey Point Nuclear Plant, Units 3 and 4 located in Dade County, Florida.
By letter dated July 17, 1990, the licensee requested withdrawal of a portion the June 5, 1989 amendment request to replace the current Technical Specifications with revised Technical Specifications for the Turkey Point Plant, Units 3 and 4.
The portion of the amendment request that the licensee wishes to withdraw pertains to the composition list of the Company Nuclear Review Board (CNRB).
By letter dated February 7, 1990, as supplemented April 24, 1990, the licensee applied for amendments to r emove the specific composition list for the CNRB, and to redefine a quorum of the CNRB.
Amendment Nos.
136 and 131, issued on July 3, 1990, granted the requested changes.
Therefore, the licensee re-quested withdrawal of the proposed changes concerning the CNRB identified in the June 5, 1989 letter, so that the revised Technical Specifications will reflect the changes approved in Amendment Nos.
136 and 131.
The staff has determined that the request should be granted.
