DECEMBER 1 1 3987 L-87-499 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attn: Document Control Desk Washington, D.C. 20555 Gentlemen:

Re: Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-251 Limitorque Valve Wiring Qualifications Unresolved Item 86-39-06 Our letter dated August 29, 1986 discussed the discovery of some wiring in Limitorque motor operated valves outside the containment which were on the environmental qualification list that may not have been fully supported by available documentation. In that letter we stated we would submit the results of our analysis of the as-found condition.

The attached evaluation concludes that the Limitorque operators would have performed their designed safety function had they been called upon to do so.

Due to the size of the full report, the attachments to the evaluation have not been included but are available on site for your review.
