VESSEL FLUX REDUCTION TURKEY POINT PLANTS UNITS 3 AND 4 In accordance with NRC procedure for Board Notification, the following information is being provided directly to the Board.

The parties are being informed by copy of this memorandum.

By letter dated April 15, 1985, the staff provided the Board an affidavit by Messrs.

Summer B. Sun and G.

Norman Lauben relevant to the current proceeding, ASLB No. 84-,496-03 LA, relating to the above subject.

The affidavit addressed the acceptability of the Westinghouse revision to the input methodology (data transfer procedure) between the WREFLOOD and BART codes which are used in the Emergency Core Cooling System (ECCS) evaluation model for Turkey Point Plant, Units 3 and 4.

Messrs.

Sun and Lauben indicated in the affidavit that the staff is preparing a supplement to the Safety Evaluation (SSE) on the BART code which will reflect the revision to the input methodology.

It was further indicated that the staff would document the revised peak clad temperature (PCT) for the Turkey Point Plant'eparately.

The SSE for the BART code and the revised PCT for the Turkey Point Plant are enclosed.

The SSE supports the conclusion in the affidavit that the revised data transfer procedure and the PCT of 2051'F for Turkey Point Plant meets the requirements of 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix K and 10 CFR 50.46, respectively.
