BACKGROUND Members of the NRC staff met with the licensee's representatives at
The licensee is currently considering design modifications to the on-site electrical power distribution system.
The design modifications being considered will enhance the existing systems and result in increased reliability.

SUMMARY
The licensee discussed their recent problems'ith the existing design, previous design changes and the current scoping study relating to the on-site power distribution system.
The licensee is considering 8 alternatives in the their study which includes consideration of additional diesel generators and safety-related busses.
The NRC staff indicated that the proposed resolution for USI A-44 would require modifications for high risk plants.
The proposed changes to the on-site power distribution system have to be reviewed to determine if the Turkey Point facility would be considered a high or low risk plant.
However, the NRC staff further indicated that the final requirements have not been approved for USI A-44 and there could be changes.
