Nr. Darrell G. Eisenhut, Director Division of Licensing U.S.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C. 20555

Dear Hr. Eisenhut:

Re:

Turkey Point Unit 4 Docket No. 50-251 Re ort of Steam Generator Ins ection and Tube Re air Please find attached the subject report pursuant to Section 3.0.5 of DPR-41.

The Report describes our program of:

(1) visual i nspection of the secondary side of the three steam generators using fiber optics; (2) locating and removing all significant foreign material; (3) eddy current inspections in all three steam generators of peripheral tubes and wedge areas and areas to bound debris location; (4) conservative plugging; (5) installation of a metal impact monitoring system on all three steam generators.

The described program and the results of all inspections performed support continued full power oper ation of Turkey Point Unit 4 well beyond the planned operating interval (through approximately mid-October, 1982) without undue risk to the health and safety of the public.

This determination has been concurred with by our NSSS vendor, and has been reviewed and approved by the Plant Nuclear Safety Committee and Company Nuclear Review Board.

r Very truly yours, Vice President Advanced Systems and Technology REU/JEH/mbd Attachment cc:
