C. Parrish K. Cyr This letter is sent to acknowledge receipt oi'our petition dated July 30. 1980, submitted on behalf of cer tain residents and homeowners of South Florida, requesting that the Co~ission issue to Florida Power and Light Company an order to show cause why the Turkey Point Unit No.
3 facility should not be shutdown by July 31, 1980, to perform a steam generator inspection and repair.
Your petition has been referred to the Director of Nuclear Reactor Regulation because the subject matter of the petition is within the jurisdiction of this office.
Your petition is being treated under 10 CFR 2.206 of the Commission's regulations.
Your request was not received in time for action to be taken on your petition by the date (July 31, 1980) specified in the requested order to show cause.
Appro-priate action will be taken,
- however, as expeditiously as possible.
