- REPLY TO NOTICE OF VIOLATION This letter is in response to a
letter addressed to Mr. E.
E. Fizpatrick from J.
A. Grobe, dated November 24,
- 1997, that transmitted a notice of violation to Cook Nuclear Plant.
The notice of violation contained a total of two violations of NRC requirements identified during an NRC inspection conducted from September 29,
- 1997, through October 3,
1997.
The violations pertain to security plan requirements and protective strategies.
Our response to these violations is provided in the attachment and is safeguards information.
This report is submitted in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 73.71 and is exempt from disclosure in accordance with 73.21(c) (2).
The report dated November 24, 1997, was not received in our offices until December 5, 1997.
This was discussed with Mr. Jim Creed from Region ZZI on December 12, 1997.
He agreed to extend the due date from December 24, 1997, to January 7,
1998.
