Dear Mr. Denton:
As the final part of our response to "Control of Heavy Loads in Nuclear Plants",
NUREG-0612, Section 2.1 of Enclosure 3 to Mr. D. G. Eisenhut's letter of December 22,
- 1980, an analysisof the lifting arrangement for the reactor vessel head and upper internals is required.
Westinghouse Electric Corporation was contracted in July, 1982, to perform this work for us.
A completion date of March 15, 1983, for submission of the results of this analysis was provided to you in our submittal letter AEP:NRC:0514E dated September 29, 1982.
Westinghouse has recently informed us that the analysis will not be completed on the date originally anticipated due to the backlog of heavy load analyses work at Westinghouse.
Westinghouse's approximate delay will be four months.
Therefore, please be advised that the revised date for the sub-mittal of the analysis described above will be June 1,
1983.
This document has been prepared following Corporate procedures which incorporate a reasonable set of controls to ensure its accuracy and com-pleteness prior to signature by the undersigned.
