RESPONSE
TO GENERIC LETTER NO. 97-01, DEGRADATION OF CONTROL ROD DRIVE MECHANISM NOZZLE AND OTHER VESSEL CLOSURE HEAD PENETRATIONS This letter responds to subject generic letter (GL) 97-01, dated April 1,
- 1997, and provides our thirty day response as it pertains to Cook Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2.
We are currently reviewing the GL within our organization and plan to respond to items 1 and 2 within 120 days of the date of the GL.
The response to the information requested in the GL may include proprietary information from our contractors (e.g.,
Westinghouse) that will be identified appropriately in the submittal.
