TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE REQUEST:
BORIC ACID STORAGE SYSTEM BORON CONCENTRATION REDUCTION REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION By letter dated February 29,
- 1996, we proposed to modify technical specifications (T/Ss) 3.1.2.7 and 3.1.2.8 such that the minimum required usable borated water volume in the boric acid storage system is increased and the maximum boron concentration is decreased.
1n that letter, we requested a period of one year from the NRC approval date to implement the T/S changes.
During discussions with the NRC staff, more information was requested regarding dates by which plant procedures and plant modifications will be completed.
As mentioned in our previous letter (AEP:NRCr1232A),
we are scheduling the changeover for August 1998.
To meet this scheduled changeover, we will be completing plant modifications by August 11, 1998, and procedure modifications by May 4, 1998.
Our request for NRC approval by January 1998 remains valid.
