This refers to the inspection
conducted
by Hr.
R. Bailey and Hr. J.
Hansen of
this office on January
23

1995.
The inspection
included
a review of
activities authorized for your D.
C.
Cook Nuclear
Power Plant.
At the
conclusion of the inspection,
the findings were discussed
with those
members
of your staff identified in the enclosed report.
Areas
examined during the inspection
are identified in the report.
Within
these
areas,
the inspection consisted of selective
examinations of Licensed
Operator Requalification
Program procedures
and representative
records,
interviews with personnel,
and observation of Licensed Operator activities in
progress.
The purpose of the inspection
was to determi'ne whether Licensed
Operator Requalification
Program activities authorized
by the license
were
conducted safely
and in accordance
with NRC requirements.
No violations of NRC requirements
were identified during the course of this
inspection.
The inspectors
concluded that the licensed operator
requalification training program
was being implemented
in accordance
with
10 CFR Part 55 requirements.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790 'of the Commission's
regulations,
a copy of
this letter and the enclosed
inspection report will be placed in the
NRC
Public Document
Room.
