The inspection
included
a review of activities at your
Donald
C.
Cook Nu'clear Plant, Units
1 and 2, facility.
At the conclusion of
the inspection,
the findings were discussed
with those
members of your staff
identified in the enclosed report.
Areas
examined during the inspection
are identified in the report.
Within
these
areas,
the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures
and representative
records,
observations,
and interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements
were identified during this inspection.
Previous
Inspection
Reports
50-315/93016
and 50-316/93018
documented
problems
with maintenance
on motor-driven auxiliary feedwater
(HDAFW) pumps.
Even
though you established
actions for these
problems,,we
are concerned
with the
continuing problems you are having with the maintenance
of your
HDAFW pumps.
Problems
noted during this inspection
included operators
not questioning
elevated
bearing temperatures
on
a
HDAFW pump that maintenance
had improperly
reassembled.
This area will continue to be monitored in future inspections.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations,
a copy of
