Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter requests a
60 day extension to September 10, 1981 for submitting the Security Force Training and gualification Plan (T&gP),
which was requested in Mr. S.
A. Varga's letter of May 6, 1981'.
We re-ceived Mr. Varga's letter on May 11, 1981.
The requested extension when added to the 60 day period allowed in Mr. Varga's letter gives us the time we need to properly develop a T&0P.
Mr. Varga's letter indicates that our plan should conform to criteria which were developed after the submittal of our original T&g program which was transmitted to you in our letter No. AEP:NRC:0242 dated August 12, 1979.
Our new T&gP will be appended to the approved MASP which has been found acceptable in meeting the performance require-ments of 10 CFR 73.55 (a)(l) and (a)(2).
We wil'l also include in the new T&gP the identification of "crucial tasks" pursuant to your guidance document NUREG-0674.
We will also delete pages 1-9 through 1-17 of the MASP as you requested upon approval of the new T&gP by the NRC.
