COOK SYSTEMS BASED INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL INSPECTION (SBICI)
I would like to inform you that the NRC will perform a system based
,instrumentation and control inspection (SBICI) at the D.
C.
Cook Nuclear Powers Plant.
The onsite inspection activities are scheduled for the weeks of August 30 and September 13, 1993.
Part of the inspection will be conducted at your engineering offices.
The inspection will assess
- design, operation, maintenance, surveillance, quality assurance, and corrective actions associated with instrumentation and
'ontrol systems.
To accomplish its objectives, the SBICI team will review a
broad range of information and activitie's for the IIlC system loops selected.
The attachment to this letter lists the initial items which the team expects to review.
The list is being provided to allow you to anticipate the team's informational needs.
I request your assistance in making this information available for review during the August 16-18, 1993, pre-inspection visit.
