Dear Dr. Murley:
This letter documents discussions held with the Cook Nuclear Plant NRR Project
- Manager, Mr. John
- Stang, on May 13, 1992.
During those discussions we agreed to submit the results of our steam line break leak analysis prior to restart for Cycle 13.
The analysis willprovide estimated leakages expected through the end of Cycle 13.
Technical Specification (T/S) 4.4.5.5.e has been revised to specifically state this reporting requirement.
In addition, the NRR Project Manager noted that an editorial change is required to T/S 4.4.5.4.a.10.1, which was previously submitted with our proposal regarding interim plugging criteria (AEP:NRC:1166B dated April 21, 1992).
Proposed revised pages for both T/Ss (4.4.5.4.a.l0.1 and 4.4.5.5.e) are contained in Attachment 1 to this letter.
Attachment 2 is a list of commitments that our NRR Project Manager requested we put in writing.
These commitments concern incorporation of certain criteria from WCAP-13187 Appendix A into Cook Nuclear Plant procedures.
This report was previously submitted with our letter AEP:NRC:1166 dated March 20, 1992.
The commitments also involve additional inspection and reporting requirements requested by your staff.
This document has been prepared following Corporate procedures which incorporate a
reasonable set of controls to ensure its accuracy and completeness prior to signature by the undersigned.
