Cook Nuclear Plant Emergency Preparedness Exercise to Mr. James
- Foster, Emergency Preparedness Section.
This action is being taken in accordance with your March 16, 1987, letter to Mr. John E. Dolan and I.E.
"Revised Emergency Exercise Frequency Rule.",
As stated in our June 16, 1989, letter to you, the September 20, 1989, exercise will be a utility only exercise.
The State of Michigan will participate in a'supportive role but not for the purpose of evaluation.
It is intended to conduct the exercise using the Unit 2 simulator and the simulated Technical Support Center in the Cook Nuclear Training Center.
Attachment 1 comprises the complete exercise scenario package with all controller information and simulation data, including plant data, radiation level data, and release rate data.
The information has been presented here in the same format as manually driven exercise scenarios of past. years and will serve as a back-up in the event of simulator equipment problems.
