Dear Dr. Murley:
As we have discussed with members of your staff we are in the process of completing a 10CFR50.59 review on the erection and installation of the new and modified single-failure-proof auxiliary building cranes.
Upon completion of our review and if no unreviewed safety questions exist we are planning to begin erection and installation of the two cranes.
Both cranes, as Steam Generator steam generator crane except in contingent upon submitted Steam described in the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant Repair Report, are required for use during the repair project.
Operation of the new or modified connection with the erection and installation is your review and approval of our previously Generator Repair Report.
The 10CFR50.59 review will be completed by February 1,
1988, with erection and installation of the cranes scheduled to begin February 15, 1988 as required to support our steam generator repair project schedule.
You or members of your staff are invited to review our 10CFR50.59 review and associated documentation.
