Dear ilr. Keppler:
Operating License DPR-74 Docket No. 50-316 Th'is 'is a follow up to our ietter of February 20, 1981 concerning a
possibl service water 'leak in a ventilation unit. of the lower volume of Unit 2 Containment.
The investigation revealed that the water was not from a service water leak,, but from the normal condensation which occurs as the Containment Atmo:;cohere passes over the cooling coils.
The drip pan drain had become plugged causing the drip pan to overflow and run into the Pipe Tunnel Sump.
Therefore, in as much as nc service water leak exists we are requesting that the notification be withdrawn.
