Dear Mr. Denton:
The attachments to this letter propose changes to the Fire Protection Technical Specifications for the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2.
These Technical Specification changes reflect the modifications made to the Cook Plant and are in accordance with the requirements of the Fire Protection Safety Evaluation Report issued on July 31, 1979 (License Amendments No.
31 for Unit 1, and No.
12 for Unit 2).
These Technical Specification changes have been reviewed and approved by the PNSRC and the required membership of the NSDRC in accordance with the requirements of our Technical Specifications.
The results of these reviews indicate that the proposed Technical Specification changes will not adversely affect the health and safety of the public.
These matters have been previously reviewed by the NRC as part of the issuance of the Fire Protection SER and as such, no license amendment fee accompanies this submittal.
