Pursuant to the requirements of Section 4.1.2.1.2 of the Appendix B
Environmental Technical Specifications for the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant, the attached monthly reports on impingement of fish are sub-mitted.
These reports cover the months of June, August and October, 1979.
The attached letter from Nancy J. Thurber, Research Associate, Great Lakes Research Division of the University of Michigan, Institute of, Science and Technology Building, Ann Arbor, Michigan is self-explanatory.
Also attached are the corrected versions of the im in ement of fish re-ports for the months of Jul and Se tember of 1979.
As per Technical Specification Appendix B, this transmittyl completes one year of the beginning operation of Units I an'd II, and this will be our last transmittal of data on impingement of fish.

Dear Sir:
The reports of impingement at the.D.C.
Cook Plant in July and September which you recently received contain an error in the number of fish estimated to have
been impinged.
This resulted from an error in. our computer program which oc-curred when we revised the program to handle the large numbers of fish impinged this summer.
The misplacement of mass-weight data caused by the program resulted in a small error-in estimated total impingement in July, but in September this" error combined with a misplaced decimal resulted in an extremely large over-estimation of total impingement for this month.
Consequently, over 4,000,000 fish were incorrectly estimated to have been impinged in September, whereas the corrected program estimates over 500,000 fish impinged in September.
The cor-rected versions of the impingement reports for July and September are included with this letter.
The original reports for June and August are correct.
