COOK MODIFICATIONS TO AUXILIARYFEEDMATER SYSTEMS The attached TACs form and request for license amendment from Indiana and Michigan Power Company are forwarded to you for the Bulletin and Orders Task Force review.

This amendment in the D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant would separate shared auxiliary feedwater systems and convert the turbin driven auxiliary feed pumps from AC to DC.

systems, the B 8 () review would be appropriate.

This is consistent with discussions between D. Eisenhut and D. Ross on assignment of reviews "generated by Bulletins and Orders.

The product of your review should be a draft input for an SER to support a lio'erpe amendment package which DOR will issue.

In order to meet~'<the approval date requested by the licensee, we will need your SER input by-'the end of October, 1979.,If there are questions to be asked of the utility, they can be forwarded as an attach-ment to a letter from this office or the DOR project manager for D. C. Cook, Dave Wigginton X27167, can arrange a conference call.

He can also set up a meeting with the utilityif you feel one would be beneficial.
