Docket t;os. 50-155/255/315/316 295 and 304 By letter dated June 26, 19?9, Consumers Power Corpany (CPC) requested an amendment to the operating license for Big Rock Point to allow a, l1odification to the spent fuel pool which would increase the facility' spent fuel storage cai:acity from 193 to 4".1 fuel assemblies.
The Notice of Proposed Issuance of Amendrient dated July 17, 1979'44 FR 43126, July 23, 1979), the June 26, 1979 request, and a supporting CPC evaluation dated April 23, 1979 are enclosed.
The proposed modification would allow the storage of spent fuel discharged until 1990 and still retain the capability to offload all fuel from the reactor.

Harold Benton before the Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs dated January 26, 1979.
