Dear Mr. Denton:
The purpose of this letter is to clarify a statement made in our July 20, 1979 (AEP:NRC:00156) submittal which addressed potential moderator dilution paths.
The sentence in the first paragraph of the referenced letter which begins "During power operation...."
should read as follows:
"During power operation, the arrangement is the same as that shown in Figure 1 except that the valves which control suction from the RMST 24" header to the SI and RHR pumps and valve V-5, shown closed in the figure, are open."
This revision in no way changes the conclusions of the referenced submittal since this information is not directly related to the issues at hand and was added for completeness.
