Dear Dr. Murley:
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Messrs.
Martin Virgilio and John Stang, and to other staff
- members, for their timely action in developing and docketing the Safety Evaluation Reports (SERs) for the Steam Generator Repair Project and for'xtending technical specification surveillance intervals for certain Unit 2 equipment.
Issuance of the SERs allows the re'placement of the Unit 2 steam generators to continue on schedule and prevented a forced outage of Unit 2.
Your staff's efforts are especially appreciated considering the added burden created by'
'change in projec't management and the relocation of the NRR offices, both of which occurred during the development of these SERs.
This document has been prepared following Corporate procedures which incorporate a reasonable set of controls to ensure its accuracy and completeness prior to signature by the undersigned.
