Dear Mr. Davis:
This letter serves to transmit one copy of the Updated Quality Assurance Program Description for the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant (QAPD).
This document will be contained in the 1987 FSAR update to be submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.71.
We do not believe that the July 1987 QAPD update contains any changes of substance to our existing QA Program, or that the revisions therein constitute a reduction in any previous QA Program commitments.
Each revision is an enhancement of the description of our existing QA Program.
Revisions to the July 1987 QAPD update fall into two categories:
(1) editorial changes and position title changes, and (2) revisions associated with the following:
Paragraph 1.7.2.4 (reference AEP:NRC:0970A, dated December 23', 1986),
Paragraph 1.7.16.2.2 (reference AEP:NRC:0847J, dated September 2, 1986).
All revisions are indicated by right-hand margin bars.
