Dear Dr. Murley:
In the above letters, we committed to certain actions with respect to compliance with the recommendations of Regulatory Guide 1.97, Rev.
3 (AEP:NRC:07730) and I.E. Bulletin No. 85-03 (AEP:NRC:0966).
A copy of each of these letters is attached for your convenience.
The implementation schedule of some of the above actions was based on refueling outages that were scheduled to take place subsequent to the transmittal of the letters.
Specifically, the tables enclosed in our letter AEP:NRC:07730 stated that some variables would be implemented during a Unit 2 refueling outage scheduled for 1987, and the cover letter of AEP:NRC:0966 referred to a Unit 2 refueling outage scheduled for February 1988.
Our current schedule calls for the next Unit 2 refueling outage to begin on approximately May 1, 1988.
The dates in the above-referenced letters should therefore be revised accordingly for Unit 2 refueling outage related work.
