OF MEETING HELD DURING WEEK OF FEBRUARY 23, 1987 TO DISCUSS CONTROL ROOM DESIGN REVIEW An audit of the Control Room Design Review was held in Columbus, Ohio at the American Electric Power Service Corporation on February 24 and 25 and at the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant on February 26 and 27, 1987.

Kramer.

Hansen.
The principal license members were R.
Shoemaker, J. Feinstein, A.
Ellif (ESSEX),
R. Stevens, D. Trumberg, J. Schlunt, R. Orendi (Westinghouse),

Rutkowski.
The NRC audit team concluded that D.
C.
Cook has conducted an excellent Detailed Control Room Design Review.
The modifications to the panels will enhance the safety of the plant.
The licensee has committed to (1) pro-viding an implementation schedule by letter cover ing all Category I and II HEDs, (2) investigating 2 HEDs identified by the team during the mini-control room survey, and (3) taking action on 3 HEDs which were identified by the licensee for which no action had been planned prior to the audit.
A con-tractor Technical Evaluation Report and the staff's Safety Evaluation Report will be issued in the near future.
