Dear Mr. Denton:
The purpose of this letter is to respond to the Draft Safety Evaluation Report (DSER) on the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant Procedures Generation Package (PGP) transmitted by your letter dated September 12, 1985.
This letter fulfills a commitment in our letter AEP:NRC:0773N, dated December 13, 1985.
In that letter, we noted that we expected to transmit this information to you about April 30, 1986.
Pursuant to discussions with your
- staff, we were granted an extension for a few weeks beyond that date to allow adequate time for review.
The attachment to this letter, which was prepared with input from Westinghouse Electric Company, is a revised Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant Procedures Generation Package.
For your convenience, all changes from the original version are identified by margin bars.
The Plant Specific-Technical Guidelines (P-STG) are contained in Part I of the PGP.
This revision addresses the concerns expressed by your staff in the
- DSER, Items 2A1 through 2A5.
Part II of the PGP is the Writers Guide for the Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs).
This revision addresses the concerns expressed by your staff in the
- DSER, Items 2B1 through 2B16 and other changes we found to be necessary.
Part III is the EOP Verification alidation Program description.
This revision addresses the concerns expr ssed by your staff in the
- DSER, Items 2Cl through 2C6.
Part IV is the EOP Training Piogram description.
This revision addresses the concerns expressed by your staff in the
- DSER, Items 2Dl through 2D4.
