Dear Mr. Hahn:
On Friday, March 7, 1986, the NRC will hold a meeting with the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company at the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant Visitors Center.
The meeting, which will begin at 10:00 a.m., will include the licensee s
response to the recent SALP review, a presentation on the licensee's efforts to improve operations of the facility, and a plant tour to highlight these improvements.
As part of our efforts to keep you informed of licensing matters on the Cook facility, we invite you to attend the meeting. If you wish to take the tour, you may either contact the licensee thru your official channels or our site representative's office; phone number (616) 465-6775.
I have enclosed a copy of the SALP report for your information.
The Region III Administrator, Mr. James G. Keppler, and the Director of PWR Project Directorate ¹4, Mr. B. J.
Youngblood, are scheduled to attend the meeting and it would be a good time for you to meet them.
