Dear Mr. Denton:

This letter responds to your September 12, 1985 letter in which you requested a schedule of our response to the Draft Safety Evaluation Report (DSER) on the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant Procedures Generation Package (PGP).

Our consultant, Westinghouse Electric Corporation, which was responsible for preparing a major part of the initial PGP, has indicated that approximately four months will be required to compile answers to the comments raised in the DSER.

Therefore, please be advised that we plan to submit a response by April 30, 1986 to the DSER comments.

This document has been prepared following Corporate procedures which incorporate a reasonable set of controls to insure its accuracy and completeness prior to signature by the undersigned.
