Dear Hr. Denton:

Pursuant to discussions with your staff, we hereby withdraw the Technical Specification (T/S) ohange requests contained in our letter AEP:NRC:0856A, dated July 19, 1984.

The T/S change requests discussed in that letter will be addressed in subsequent submittals, since recent concerns regarding T/S clarification have indioated this to be prudent.

This proposed change has been reviewed by the Plant Nuclear Safety Review Committee (PNSRC) and will be reviewed by the Nuclear Safety and Design Review Committee (NSDRC) at their next regularly scheduled meeting.

In compliance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.91(b)(1),

a copy of this letter has been transmitted to Hr. R. C. Callen of the Michigan Public Service Commission and Hr. George Buchanan of the Michigan Department of Public Health.

This document has been prepared following Corporate prooedures which incorporate a reasonable set of controls to insure its accuracy and completeness prior to signature by the undersigned.
