Dear Mr. Denton:
Pursuant to the request of your staff, an analysis of radiation exposure has been performed, for the Donald C.
Cook Nucleai Power Plant, Units 1 and 2 concerning the installation of "wagon wheel" type asymmetric loading restraints in the primary coolant loop.
The occupational exposure estimated for installing additional pipe restraints will be about 1663 Man-Rem for each unit.
This estimated dose value does not include doses from the subsequent inservice inspections of the pipe restraints.
It is expected that these inservice inspection doses will, for D.
C.
- Cook, be of the same order of magnitude as for other, similar PWRS.
This document has been prepared following Corporate procedures which incorporate a reasonable set of controls to insure its accuracy and completeness prior to signature by the undersigned.
