20555

Dear Mr. Denton:

The following paragraph of this letter provides notice of change/update of our response to NUREG-0737 Item I.C.5, contained in Attachment No.

1 of our letter of January 8,

1981, AEP:NRC:00398.

Our letter responsed to Mr. D. G. Eisenhut's letter dated October 31, 1980.

Consistent with the requirements for an "Operating Experience Assessment"

group, as outlined in Mr. Denton's letter of October 30, 1979, the plant has dr afted procedures in which the Shill; Technical Advisors (STAs) will utilize the SEE-IN program established by INFO.

The STAs will review and distribute NETWORK information and Significant Event Reports (SER).

The STAs also play a significant role in the review and resolution of Significant Operating Experience Report (SOER) recommendations in accordance with Corporate and Plant Procedures.

Mr. Eisenhut has endorsed the utilization of the SEE-IN program in his Generic Letter No. 82-04.

The STAs will also receive copies of NRC and non-NRC documents, as appropriate, in the Judgment of management for review.

We note our previous submittal had a commitment to trend these documents.

Upon review, we recognized the above documents do not generally lend themselves to trending as many are the result of other trending progr ams.
