Dear Mr. Denton:
We hereby withdraw our recent request for change to the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant Unit No.
1 Technical Specification, Surveillance Requirement 4.5.2.f.
Our request was addressed in letter AEP:NRC:0849, dated October 3, 1983.
Specifically, the request was to increase the total flow limit to the four branch lines on the Boron In)ection System from 470 gpm to 500 gpm.
We implemented a design change which enabled us to meet the requirements of the current Technical Specification.
Therefore, the requested change is not needed.
To assure consistency with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.91(b)(1),
a copy of this letter is being transmitted to the appropriate official of the State of Michigan.
This document has been prepared following Corporate procedures which incorporate a reasonable set of controls to insure its accuracy and completeness prior to signature by the undersigned.
