Dear Mr. Denton:
We are transmitting to you one signed original and twelve additional copies of the 1983 updated version of the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) for Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant Unit Nos.
1 and 2 as required by 10 CFR 50.71(e).
The one signed original contains a list of replacement
- pages, and a list of additional pages to Chapter 14, Unit 2.
This updated version of the FSAR is based on the original FSAR including 84 amendments, which was submitted in support of an application by Indiana 6
Michigan Electric Company (IItM) for licenses to operate the two units of
'he D. C.
Cook Nuclear Plant, and the July 1982 FSAR update.
The update of Chapter 14, Unit 2 has been prepared by our fuels vendor.
As of this transmittal date we have identified no discrepancies with that input, however our review is not complete.
We will continue to review the changes to Chapter 14, Unit 2, and will notify the NRC should any significant discrepancies be identified.
Please note that we have dated the pages of this updated version of the FSAR with "July 1983" to establish a point of reference for the future updates.
