Dear Mr. Denton:

This letter requests'an extension to the submittal date for the Plant Specific Evaluation Report on the adequacy of the Safety and Relief Valve-Discharge Piping and on the Plant Specific Qualification of Safety and Relief Valves.

In the letter referenced above we had committed to provide you with the above-mentioned Evaluation Report by March 1, 1983.

We have been informed by our consultant, Teledyne Engineering Services (TES), that the Discharge Piping Evaluation will be completed by the end of March 1983. It is anti.cipated that the review of the TES final reports and the pipe support evaluation by AEPSC based on the TES results will be completed by June 15, 1983.

We, therefore are hereby requesting an extension of time to submit the Plant Specific Evaluation Report for the D. C.

Cook Nuclear Plant until July 1, 1983.

This letter has been prepared following Corporate Procedures which incorporate a reasonable set of controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness prior to signature by the undersigned.
